Its so much easier with support....

Support...someone that stands there and tells you:

"you can do it"

I have long since had that through this blog, and I thank you guys immensely for it. I have also had it in a form from my family...they enjoy boasting to others about my writing feats...but that's about it, it still makes me feel good though so I thank them for that too.

I have never had "friends" in real life to give me any support and I have never had a significant other that wanted to support me either...

But now I do.

It is the greatest feeling in the world to hear someone say to you "that's a good idea" or "good luck" especially when it's that persons opinion that matters to you most.

As I said yesterday, poems have been coming out of my ears...so have scenes, ideas and solutions to dilemmas....and there is only one thing that has changed...

Now I'm not saying that all of the problems are solved...I still don't have an editor, a reader or a critiquing partner...

but I finally have someone that means everything to me...believe in my dream....

Thank you...

Could I be published?

Poems have been coming out of my ears lately, all genres, all formats, all lengths.

I am about to start the process of transferring them into my new journals...my aunty got me the twilight journals for my birthday - no she hasn't yet realised that I don't like twilight. So although I am of two minds about putting them in there. I cannot deny that it would be lovely to have everything in one place and it is quite a nice set.

My mum said to me a couple of years ago that I have probably written enough poems to publish a book by now...and that maybe I should look into it.

Well I am finally looking into it.

I will keep you posted on whether anything comes of this.

Why is it so hard?!

To find writing competitions in Australia.

Oh yes there is many out there...but they are all tailored towards puiblished writers...

How does that help those of us that haven't been able to make our voices heard yet?

It's so frustrating! I have been looking for weeks for Sydney based competitions but nothing.

I think I find something...but its closed...and just hasn't been updated, or restricted to only certain people...like uni students.

I have rejoined Fanstory.com as of today, and I will be unhiding all of my work there. Hopefully I will be able to become an active member once again.
