NaNoWriMo: Day 2 Part 2

I finished today's goal...and yesterdays goal!

I wrote 3547 words today, which is absolutely huge for me! In a word document that's 8 A4 pages!

I am currently half way through chapter three and to be honest...now i'm over the initial hurdle of getting the thing started it's flowing relatively nicely.

After the three hour slug of this mornings session, this afternoon I managed to crank out 1,800 words in an hour!

DAYS WORKED ON: 4
WORD COUNT: 4,641
I am considering another slug tonight because I most likely won't be home tomorrow night if things go to plan and getting a start on the word count that I will be missing out on tomorrow does sound pretty good if I do say so myself but we will see. I don't want to burn out and although I am geed about writing the third chapter so far I need a rest.

NaNoWriMo: Day 2

I did it!

1,724 words!

Sure it took three hours, a lot of cynism and turning my beloved Julian into a stalker for the first chapter but I did it!

I had the day off today after the nightmare that was yesterday and now I am PUMPED!!

I actually met the day's goals, I could have procrastinated, I could have watched tv, I could have blogged and caught up on StoryWings, but I didn't! I sat my ass down and I churned out 1,724 words.

That's right...UP YOURS YOU EVIL LIZARD!

I have a new way of writing it seems: I write by scene.

I picture the chapter as a whole, then break it into scenes like acts of a play!

And I finished the first chapter of Practically Dead! It kind of crept up on me to be honest because after I started fleshing out the scenes, it came to a natural stop at a certain point and I started the next chapter!

But I have a new way of fighting through the words. It's this beautiful little line I've made up:

It's so handy when I get stuck on a scene but have ideas for the next one...i just add that little line, work on the next bit then come back to it and link it up!

I am soooooo geed right now. I am going to take a little break and then see what I can do about catching up on yesterdays word count...but instead of thinking about how many words to go as I was doing this morning....I am thinking more about what's happening...

I'm getting lost in my own story...that's good right?

NaNoWriMo: Day 1

Complete disaster!

I had to go into hospital today...and it took all freaking day. By the time I came out I was still loaded up on anesthesia and walking funny...

No I didn't write anything today.

The current plan for tomorrow is to get the daily goal (1,666 words) down, see how I feel and maybe try for some more.
